Chassis: AR3001412. 43k Miles Shown, TMU. 2.0-Liter Inline-Four. Five-Speed Manual Gearbox. Red over Dark Ivory. Dual Carburetor Conversion. Refreshed Interior. Campagnolo Alloy Wheels. RetroSound Radio. Private Party or Dealer: Private Party
This 1973 Alfa Romeo Berlina was purchased by the seller in 2013 and subsequently refurbished over a period of six years, with work including a repaint in red, an interior refresh, and the installation of Weber carburetors. Power is from a 2.0-liter inline-four mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, and the car is equipped with aftermarket air-conditioning and sound systems. This Berlina is offered with spare parts, refurbishment records, and a clean New Mexico title in the seller’s name. The car was reportedly stripped of its original silver finish and repainted in red by the seller. Chrome bumpers with overriders are retained, as are side markers and a single driver-side mirror. The seller reports that several spots of rust-through, a quarter-inch or less, were repaired in the cowl, lower driver-side rear door, and passenger-side front floor pan before being treated with POR-15 and painted. Dings in the front and rear valances were also repaired. Five-star Campagnolo 14″ alloy wheels wear Kumho Solus KR21 tires that are said to be approximately seven years old. A matching Campagnolo spare resides in the trunk. The shocks were reportedly replaced during the refurbishment. The interior features a three-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel, wood veneer trim on dash and console, and an aftermarket air-conditioning system. The seats have been reupholstered in dark ivory vinyl with matching door covers. Dashboard cracks and headliner stains can be viewed in the gallery. A RetroSound radio replaces the factory unit. Stock Jaeger Italia gauges feature chrome bezels and include a tachometer, a 140-mph speedometer, and a five-digit odometer showing approximately 43k miles, a handful of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown. The stock 8-track player and R12 air-conditioning system are included in the sale. The 2.0-liter inline-four sends power to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox. Dual sidedraft Weber carburetors have been fitted in place of the factory SPICA fuel-injection system. Fresh fluids and a new fuel tank sending unit were added during the refurbishment. The seller notes some exhaust smoke at high revs and that the engine runs rough after sitting. Additional underbody photos are provided in the gallery below. A collection of parts including a matching a spare cylinder head, a radiator, and factory steel wheels with center caps are included in the sale.
